Whew.... Long weekend! Long week!

Why is it that the week before your vacation - the week just DRAGS and DRAGS and DRAGS??? Thank God it is atleast Thursday tomorrow! I get to spend an entire week home with my babies!!! I'm so excited! We are going to work with Haden and potty training, hopefully go swimming at the Keller Pointe - and depending on how hot it gets/is - maybe venture to the park a time or two.

Enough of next week - I wanted to share some of our fun from last weekend... We took Haden and Holton to the Grapevine Botanical Park - it has a really neat new spiderweb thing that Haden got a kick out of... Holton just chilled and ate his Chick-fil-a...

We took the boys (including Dad and Jer) fishing on Sunday... it was short lived because it was SOOOOOOOOOO hot! Haden was baking and totally bored... Bobber fishing may be something he'll like in a few years - maybe if we'd caught something he would have enjoyed it more!

I think we may have lasted a whole 20 minutes - that was after an hour and a half in Cabela's picking out a fishing pole and getting bait... Figures! haha

And last but not least - my littlest fartnugget LOVES to crawl back in his little 'cubby' in the corner of the living room... We typically have it blocked because he likes to eat the dirt in the tree pot... Not cool!!!

He got caught!!! But he's too cute to get into trouble!

"Berf-day pard-dee" are Haden's words for Holton's party... Little man got to experience the overwhelming experience that is a birthday party in our family!!! Hee hee... So - sweet baby boy's birthday was great... He loved his new car immensely - unfortunately - so did Haden... They fought over it all night! Guess who's buying another one for Haden's birthday? hhaha... :)

Happy 1st Birthday Holton Ryder!!!

Oh... MY.... GOSH!!!! I have been SO freaking emotional ALL day long!!! I woke little guy up singing "happy birthday" - and cried... I sang to him "happy birthday" while feeding him his bottle - and cried... I sang to him 'happy birthday' while changing his diaper, getting him dressed, putting him in the wagon.... AND CRIED!!!! Why is it so hard on my that my itty bitty tiny-est baby is growing up so fast??? ugh!!! Anyway - enough about me and my freaking crazy emotions!!!

Time flies - big time when your house is constant chaos... But to be very honest - I can't imagine life any other way... It means my house is full of children that I love and that love me back... (well - mostly) haha....

I had a small lapse in judgement a few weeks ago and ordered an Ultimate Play Hut from Amazon.com... Um... We put it together this weekend and realized it was just too big (and was missing parts - the box was DEMOLISHED when it was delivered...) Check this out:

Planning Holton's Party... Sheesh...

Why is it that a birthday party for a 1 year old can wreak so much havoc and cause your stomach to be in knots??? hahaha.... I'm guessing because at a 1 year olds party - there really isn't anything to 'do' persay.... And everyone basically just sits around and stares at each other... I mean - I plan on having a super jump house for Haden's 3rd... We beat the crap out of Spongebob (thanks to daddy-o and tracey) at Hannah's - amongst other funny things to watch... haha....

ANYWAY - as the invite said - I asked that no gifts be brought - I know alot of times people can't help but bring something - haha... So maybe he'll get some really cool books... Jer and I weren't going to buy anything major either.... BUT - Saturday he took the boys to a garage sale across the street and bought one of those play-gym-maze things.... (they fold up - kinda tent material)... 4 bucks... I thought - AWESOME - they totally got 4 bucks of fun out of it in the first 4 minutes... ANYWAY - Jer and I got to talking and we were having so much fun I started searching on the internet for things to add onto this little 4 dollar steal... THIS is what I ended up with 100 bucks later:




So - 32 feet long - plus the 7 foot "4 dollar steal" one - we will have 39 feet of maze winding through the house... I don't even know if the house is that long! hahahaha... It doesn't ship for another week - so hopefully it will be here by Holton's bday... THAT should be fun for the kids!!!

haha... Now to figure out the cake.... Anyone have an Elmo cake pan? hee hee
