Something Happier... Perhaps???

Seriously - it has been a rough couple of weeks - but overall with love - there is loss... Loss and love help us stay grounded - and make us realize how lucky we all are to wake up every morning!!! Whew... Tears? Really Heather... Ugh! hahahahahha...(I 'haha' alot!)

Anyway - little man Holton will be 1 in less than 2 weeks... SERIOUSLY - WHERE DOES THE TIME GO???? In that time my daughter has figured out that she's 'her own person' (OMG WHAT?) ... Haden has gone from lovey dovey boy - to a mini "rick james" - 'I want THIS when I want THIS B____!" (not that he would ever say that - it is just FUNNY to mommy!) - I graduated from college with a Bachelors of Science majoring in Business Management (better late than never!!!) - Jer learned of the HUGE layoffs at Citi and started (this week) a new job back in the aircraft industry - that he's been trying to get back into for 2 years... (YAY BABY!) and....

TODAY we celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary... SERIOUSLY - TIME FLIES PEOPLE! Just 6 years ago (as of August this year) Jer and I met each other... Thanks to a FATEFUL night - a birthday party that my sis Kim threw for a boyfriend who is (thank GOD) long gone ... Who would have known that we would be so lucky to create such a wonderful life and family together?????????????? haha... (I did - Yes... I'm just THAT good!) All kidding aside... WOW... WOW... WOW... Just freaking WOW...

Anyway - Happy Anniversary to the love of my life... The father of my boys (and a DAMN AWESOME step-father to our Hannah)... We don't do presents - but I gave him 'back' a card that he gave me last year that COMPLETELY speaks for itself.... A simple card that reads: "LOVE ISN'T IN THE FALLING... IT'S IN THE STAYING THERE..." ---- Um... YES! He wrote: "I love you with all that I have".... And I wrote back today: "I love you with all that I have back..."

Seriously (again) - it is beyond all comprehension to be loved completely, fully and without judgement... Wow... I have it...

An Amazing Man..

Yesterday my family suffered a great loss - my Grandfather - Jim Ferguson passed away. While it gives us some comfort knowing that he is with my Mema now - it still breaks our hearts knowing we will never again hear "How ya doing, Hon?" or "I'm doing ALLLright".... :o) He absolutely was (and is) amazing - and THE most interesting person that I know and knew. He lived a very full life, traveled the world and above all loved my Mema in a way that most women could only imagine being loved. They had a 'fairytale' love - calling each other "Dear" and "Love" with every encounter that they had with each other... I cherish him - and in losing him - I feel like I'm losing her all over again. We lost Mema on September 11th of last year - and there was not a moment since the time she passed that he didn't miss her. He told me on severeal occasions that he felt as if half of him was buried when he buried her. So - with that - I believe that they are together again - holding each other tightly and re-living all of the happiness and joy that they brought each other here on earth. Last night - as I said my prayers - I spoke to them both - and I know in my heart that he just wanted to go 'home' - and that 'home' was in his 'loves' arms.

I must say that I appreciate the man that he was, the love that he showed and the vivacious way that he lived his life. I could only hope to be as classy as he was and to be as loved as he made my Mema feel. He was really one in a billion... I hope that he knew (and knows) how loved he was by me and my sisters. We looked up to him (and them) ans respected everything about who he was, is and will always be.

Wii Fit = LOTS of Family time!

So - I went to Wal Mart yesterday for an extra Wii Wheel for Mario Kart... They were out of those - but had from what I could tell 4 Wii Fit's left - so on an impulse buy - I grabbed one...

OMG - WE HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR HOURS AND HOURS!!! Yesterday I logged atleast an hour on my Mii, Jer atleast 1.5 hours himself and Hannah/Dad/Mel all logged atleast 30 minutes each themselves!! haha... This was Jer TOTALLY cracking us up doing the hula... It's almost obscene but hilarious... HAHAHA... MUCH Funnier in person I'm sure!



Haden and Hannah are totally digging it too - even Holton is getting in on the fun... He's too young for his own Mii - but he likes to be part of it! SERIOUSLY Haden was just doing 'downward dog' on the Yoga part!! haha... SO FREAKING CUTE! This is him getting ready to do the ski jump - big sissy was helping:


Anyway - I highly recommend it... If an almost 3 year old can do it - and then it still be hard for the parents - hahaha... it's good for the family! Jer and I are both sore today from what we did yesterday!

New opportunites!!!

FYI - Jer got the job at the new place - part time until he can go full time (when Citi job is over)... I may have a new opportunity with mine to do some technical recruiting.... If you know anyone who specializes in SAP, IFS, ORACLE - basically any of the big softwares - call me!!! :)

Jer should start Tuesday!!!

OH! My baby sis Melissa is coming in town this weekend from TN! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to see her again!

Being a Mother...

Now that I have been blessed - beyond freaking blessed - with three BEAUTIFUL children.... I would like to ask .... What does it mean to be a MOTHER???

Let's see... It means - freaking out - about EVERYTHING!!!! It means wanting EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS for these little farts that give us these little "I LOVE YOU's" and screwy little 'whatevers' and 'ISMS'... It is also mean seeing your 'once little girl' turning into someone that you ABSOLUTELY do not understand - and no matter how hard you try to reach her - she doesn't reach back... You can see her trying to reach out a little - but she wants someone other than me... Which is FREAKING KIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLINNNNNNNNG me.... Anyone who reads this - knows... I love my daughter more than life itself... She has been a little bit of everything to me... ALOT of my Sunshine - and a whole hell of alot of Heaven for my heart... She is now testing her own waters - and I am absolutely freaking out. I've given what I think is the absolute ALL that I can give... Well... I could take that back - I COULD have given her a life without divorce... But she would have been in a situation where two people loved each other - but they didn't deserve each other... If that makes any sense whatsoever... Some people can love each other - ALOT - but it just isn't enough - nor worthy of what a child deserves. I've been there - and I didn't want that for her... She doesn't understand - atleast not completely yet - but she will... Regardless - EVERY freaking breath that I take is for her and her brothers... I do everything and anything to make them smile...
I have been a very very lucky woman (holy shit - I'm calling myself woman instead of girl... shit - I'm old)... - ANYWAY - I've been lucky enough in love to have married TWO very good men. ) I MUST SAY - that Jer is THE utmost of EVERYTHING that has been positive in my life (and Hannah's) for the past 6 years. He calmed the most 'un-calmable" (sp) person on the planet... And I love, respect and cherish that he is in my life for that...

Back to Hannah - shit fire and save the freaking matches!!!!!!!!!!! She WILL get it someday... She will always love me - she may not always like me - but I am doing the best that I can to give her EVERY absolute tool in life to 'BE'.... 'BE' the best absolute person that she can be... I'm not a bad mom - and I know that... Actually I FREAKING rock... Sometimes I just need to remember what it means to be a Mother... It means "FREAKING OUT ABOUT EVERTHING!!!" - but keeping your cool enough that your kids don't know how bad you are freaking out...

I love my little Hannah Sunshine... Regardless of how she makes my heart hurt sometimes. "She is my Sunshine... I am her world... Momma's little angel... She is my girl... Wake up in the morning.. She gets me through... Seeing her smile at night... There's nothin' that I wouldn't do... For those blue eyes.. and that pretty blonde hair...That's my baby girl - that my angel there.... (HSM - 2004) (I wrote that little 'song' for Banana many years ago - thought I'd share).

Dinner Station - totally fun!

Last night I finally allowed myself to leave the house for a night out with the gals - of all things - to cook - without alcohol... :( (atleast for myself) haha...

I really had so much fun at The Dinner Station and was pleasantly surprised at the ingredients, etc... While most everything I could totally make on my own - having ALL of the ingredients at any one time in my kitchen - just flat out wouldn't happen and I'm sure would cost double for the full servings that I made.... I didn't realize how much space 12 FULL size meals would take up. I should take a picture of my freezer - its PACKED beyond packed!!!

We are trying the 'cheesy chicken enchiladas' tonight. I really hope the fam likes them... Hell - I really hope I like them. The idea of using raw onions makes me CRINGE - I usually saute onions and bell peppers before I add them to anything!

On another subject - before I met everyone at Pei Wei I got a chance to do some window-shopping at World Market... I found this Mirror that I THINK will go great in Hannah's bathroom if I add some bronze paint - since I just changed all the hardware and lighting to bronze:





Now I just need a coupon so that I don't have to pay full price!!! (yes, I'm cheap!)

Where Do I Go From Here?

Most of anyone who will ever read my blog (if anyone)knows that I am a song writer... I also 'claim to be' a singer and hopefully someday a FULL ON "non-PUSS my fingers hurt" guitar player.... (I LOVE the G chord - it is the only one I can ALWAYS get)... Anyway... "Where Do I Go From Here" is the title of a song that I wrote (SOOOOOOOOOOOO many years ago) that Jeremy took home before we were an "item" and wrote the music to. It is a beautiful song - it only became a song because he is freaking kickass awesome at creating actual "music" to my words... (BTW - he has kick ass songs that he has written himself)....

Anyway - I guess I've had a few - BUT - if I wasn't worried about copyright infringements(sp?) and someone stealing my shit I would totally post the lyrics...

Why so sleepy???

Hola to my other sleep deprived mommies... :o) Last night was the first (maybe second) time we've slept through the night in a month or so. I know - suppose to let him (Holton) cry it out - but since the boys are sharing a room - that doesn't quite work for us... It isn't until the death scream comes out that I actually go scoop him - but still... he knows what he wants!!!

Last night I helped my BFF Bran do her daughter's graduation invites... I CANNOT believe ms. Ryndi is graduating HIGH SCHOOL!!! And Cody - where did the time GO? It seems like yesterday that Ryndi was coming up to Danka and sleeping under Bran's desk... haha!!! I WISH I had pics of that!!! Hopefully Bran doesn't mind - but I wanted to post a pic of the soon-to-be graduate in her prom dress... She looked so pretty!


Well Crap - I tried to upload one of her and Cody and tinypic is giving me a hard time!!

So - over $1000 later - this is what we've got....








Neither of us are so sure about the 'faux' color that the cabinets have turned out to be - BUT with faux - we can change it and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than it was. We love the tile - love the new paint (thank ME for no more freaking green) - but still have finishing touches as far as the baseboards - yadda yadda....

ANYWAY - getting ready for Han's party is kicking our B-U-T-T-S.... WHY? Only because the house has to be perfect!

ANYWHO... That's all I've got for the moment... Ready for night night!!! I'm glad tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!
