ANYWAY - we really did have a nice Christmas this year. Jer and I don't 'do' Christmas for each other - but we do make sure that our babies have plenty... HAHA! They are SO SPOILED!

Our big family present this year was ROCK BAND for the Wii.. :) (among a MILLLLLLLION other Wii games - but American Idol has NOTHING on Rock Band!!! hahahaha!!!



Seriously - we CANNOT 'for the life of us' figure out how to sync the American Idol vocals with what you actually hear... It screws MEEEEEEEEEEEE up!!!! That is just not RIGHT! haha....

I definitely wanted to post the MOST beautiful picture of Hannah Sunshine that we took while at Jer's aunt Susan's house.. The ONLY way to EVER get all 3 in the same pic at the same time is to entrap them where they can't get out... haha... Of course they still never look at the camera at the same time!!! But my beautiful sweet baby sunshine...

It's been awhile!!!

I absolutely cannot believe that 2008 is almost over! I've been so busy the past few months that I haven't had time to blog, post pics, ORDER pics... Man... My snapfish cart has like 312 pics waiting to be purchase and that doesn't include any that I took in November OR December! I may need to take out a loan! haha... :)

ANYWAY - new news for us.... Haden and Holt started 'school' yesterday. :) Big boys... Neither even wimpered yesterday when I left! Today - Holt realized that I was leaving and had a major melt down - but I called as soon as I got to work and he was fine... :)

They start their 'studies' back up on Monday the 5th - just like Hannah's school! :) She's at Aunt Carrie's for the week... I really miss her! I'll have to get back to this later! Must post Christmas pics!!! :)

What I Wanted to be When I Grew Up....

I'm pretty sure then that I wanted to be a teacher... and I've been thinking about this alot lately... Most that know me (and know me well) - know that life wasn't peaches and cream for me or my sisters growing up... We grew up way too fast - in a home (or several) that didn't (and don't still) measure up to what should be acceptable for children to live in...

As a child I remember thinking "this CANNOT be what life is all about!!" - Like seriously... And as I've grown into adulthood - I absolutely KNOW that where I came from was - and is not acceptable for any child to think about or ever fathom...

Anyway - back to being a teacher... Why don't parents absolutely love and respect EVERY teacher that our child has in their lives? Seriously... These teachers put their heart and souls into OUR kids day after day - year after year... Does anyone ever thank them??? I know from experience that if it weren't for many teachers in my life that I probably wouldn't have turned out as well (thank you very much) as I have... One of my oldest (not old - but my "Pete" that I've known since Kindergarden) has been a teacher for years... And she goes through hell and back with the PARENTS... NOT the kids - but the parents who don't take responsibility for their kids actions... Seriously - it is the PARENTS job to discipline - and to teach right from wrong... NOT the teachers... And if a teacher gets onto your kid.... Ummmm.... OBVIOUSLY the kid was in the wrong... BUCK UP and be a better parent people!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Understand that the teacher doesn't have it out for your kid... (Unless you have a REAAAAAALLLLLYYY bad teacher - which there are some... But 99.9 percent of the time - it's the kid!)... Shewsh... *new word* - I'm not a teacher - but had to get that out there... Just KNOW what your child is really capable of (bad or good) and respect that teachers are mostly always trying to do the greater good for you child!!!!!

Wow... I'm in book-writing mode.... crap.

Anyway - again.... hee hee...

I've been journaling about (to) the kids - and giving them an insight to their lives (as mommy sees it) every few days... We've been back in church regularly and Jer and I have been catching up online sermons by Ed Young (Fellowship)... I'm feeling really good about our life as a family and our spiritual path as a family... So that leads me to....

Today I was thinking... What did I want to be when I grew up? That's a pretty intense thought - and seriously - I couldn't really remember what I wanted to be... Of course - I wanted to be successful in whatever it was that I chose to do... I remember wanting to be someone who planted seed of wisdom... (probably not the words I thought of when I was 7.8.9.10... haha...)... But today - I really realized - that I AM what I wanted to be when I grew up... I'm a good Mommy... Like - really good... I'm sure that makes sense to the moms that might read this... But seriously - to the depths of my soul - the only thing I care about in life is making sure these little farts (and Hannah is a fart-tett) - have every tool that I can give them to be happy, loving, productive and successful older farts and fart-tetts... Rambling???? Maybe a little... But it is important... Our job as parents is FAR greater than we really ever understand...

I worry sometimes that I make things too easy for my kids... My childhood was horrid - in more ways than twenty - but even as a child I knew that it could be worse... My kids are provided with everything and more - an abundance of kisses, hugs, love, encouragement, FAITH AND - discipline, rules, chores -yadda yadda... and they are also provided with the reprucussions of when all of those things as a whole don't come together... Am I doing enough??? Does any parent ever think that they are OR not? I know that by far - I'm not perfect... I am SO NOT 'THAT' perfect parent... But I'm trying... That's ALOT more than I can say for alot of people... But I can also say that for most of the parents that I know - they really ARE trying to be 'the greater good' for thier kids... I commend them for that.... I also commend the teachers that are a WAY bigger part of our kids lives than we will ever know or thank them for. (remember that when your kids are actually IN school!!!)

So - I want to end my 'book' with - I'm AM what I wanted to be when I grew up... I'm the most important person to three BEAUTIFUL, SMART and LOVED children... They are the epitomy of everything that one person could ever love so much.

Let the Lord bless them - let them grow - and let them prosper...

YAY! I got the REBEL!!!

After MONTHS of contemplating whether to buy a Nikon or a Canon - today I finally decided on the Canon Rebel... A girlfriend of mine at work found a deal at Costco for the Rebel XSi - 12.2 mega pixel with the lens, an extra lens (75-300 I think) an SD card - yadda yadda for 799.00... We've been to every store on the planet - we FINALLY decided to go to Wolf after driving all the way to Lewisville (closest Costco to us) and they didnt have the same deal in store as on line... They had NO deals in store - which totally irritated the shit out of me...

Anyway - we went to Circuit City - and they knew nothing so we headed to Wolf.... I had NO idea how competitive they were! Seriously - better prices on some - others were about the same at other places...

I decided on the 10 Mega Pixel Rebel XS - the difference in 2 MP isn't going to be huge with shooting pics of the kids... and its double what I've got now...

Walked out of Wolf for less than $720 bucks with the camera, extra lens, 2GB SD card, a $50 gift card to use later, $270 worth of classes a free photo book and 20 free prints... Really really impressed with Wolf Camera... And the employees actually knew what they were talking about... Rather refreshing...

I did run into a really nice lady at Circuit City who is a professional photographer and said she's always been a Nikon user - but that she would buy Canon if she didn't have so many Nikon lenses... That helped!

Anyway - wanted to say thank you to everyone for your suggestions!

Woo Hoo!! COME ON BATTERY!!! CHARGE UP! haha... I'm ready to start taking an assload of pictures!

Fossil Rim Wilderness Park = FUN!

We went out to Glenrose this weekend to Fossil Rim... it really was SO fun! The kids had a blast - and I have to admit - I did too! The first Ostrich that stuck his head IN the car had me laughing so hard that I couldn't stop crying... haha... :)

Anyway- to say the least - the kids enjoyed themselves more that I probably even know... I'm so glad we went!

Point being - we frequent our backyard alot... And the kids leave their snacks all over the place... Ants galore back here... But the ants don't TOUCH anything other than 'real' food... Weird? I thought they freaking LIVED off of sugar! Apple Jacks, Honeycomb, Cheerio's.... Goldfish, Cheez-its... The ants seriously don't go near it... I'm thinking maybe my kids shouldn't either???

Gas.... Cars... And crap like that..

I've been meaning to post about this like- forever... But totally haven't had time to fart lately - let alone blog... BUT... Jer and I have tried to minimize our 'ecological footprint' on the world - and our wallets over the past 6 months... We had a bright idea once gas hit the 3 dollar mark (and were still watching it rise) to figure out a way to become less dependent on gas... and stop spending 250 bucks a week to get to work and back... We sold Jer's Dodge (10 miles per gallon) - which was a kickass truck - but he got what he paid for it ... Put an assload of cash in savings and we bought a $1200 Chevy S10 that gets 25+ mpg... (Thank you Jessica!).... Anyway... then we bought a 93 Saturn beater go-cart for $700 bucks that gets 30+ mpg - and parked our family car... I love my Dodge Durango... seriously... I will buy another one when the time comes because its a kick ass SUV - but the gas mileage is like 14 mpg in stop and go traffic... So - basically I guess my point is... Does looking like a broke ass driving a beater commuter matter???? - haha.... Yes... a little... I would DIE DIE DIE if anyone that I knew (that didn't know I was saving 200 bucks a week by driving the beater and being 'ecological') saw me driving the go-cart... Does that make me vain???? yes... a little... But... I really like my little go-cart... and Jer really likes his truck... Beat up as they both are - they are good cars... and they are paid off!!! (its like driving money that isn't in the bank... could sell if we ever needed to in like 2 seconds for cash...) Anyway - I wanted to show off our beaters... because if you see me 'rollin' in my beater.... Be jealous... Because we're driving cash... and saving an assload in gas... and lessening our 'ecological footprint' as far as gas goes... haha...

What's New???

AAAH… It is Friday evening – our 3 day weekend starts… YAY YAY YAY!!! I have TOTALLY not been updating the blog – or basically reading/writing/looking at anything online since we’ve been in training at work for 2 weeks… I started working out at 24 Hr. Fitness too last week – so my nights have been wrapped into that too… Insanity!! We are SOOOOOOOO busy lately it seems but never really go anywhere but work and the gym!  haha…

I’ve totally been kicking ARSE working out – and feel better for it… The kickboxing classes are good – not as good as my old ones – but still good enough to sweat to death for a little bit. Since we’ve been training at work we’ve been ordering in lunch every day – so that really sucks as far as my calorie intake – but oh well… We’re almost done and I’ll go back to LC’s, grilled chicken and veggies on a regular basis!

Onto the most important peeps in the Moorhead household...

Hannah Spanana started 5th grade this week! Holy halleluah – my itty bitty baby girl is growing up right before my eyes… She’s taking the bus to and from school and feels like a ‘big girl’ since she doesn’t have to go to daycare anymore…  haha… Jer gets home the same time she does – and T is home for a few months – so she’s never home alone for more that 5 minutes if even that! We tried to ‘low light’ her hair two weeks ago – and it didn’t come out too well.. Actually... we failed miserably and her hair just looked dirty… It was fun doing it – and funny listening to her freak out seeing how dark the product got… haha… I’ll take her to a pro our next go round! Here she is (ABSOLUTELY GOREGOUS I MUST SAY!!!):



As far as the boys go… Sheesh are they a handful! Jer gets home about 2 hours before I do – so he has the chore of entertaining them until I get home to feed them… haha.. It’s like I have a dinner bell around my neck!!! As soon as the door opens – kids come flying – give me kisses and then scream that they are hungry!!! UGH!! I need everything to be microwaveable!!! Hahaha… This is one of them goofing last weekend:

Haden starts back to school next week… We have meet the teacher on Thursday! He is SUPER excited to be going back! He’s almost totally potty trained now – just still not quite making it through the night… I’m seriously having panic attacks when he touches the toilets… Can we say SUPER GERMAPHOBE over here? Note to all people that enter the Moorhead household: if you come to my house – the toilets are cleaner than the kitchen table!!!!! Hahahaha… I’ve been anti-bacterial spraying everything – like twice a day!

Little man Holton is growing like a weed!!! (a very healthy fat weed!) haha... He's talking, walking and running and just funny as all get out... He's also getting some of his smaller molars so it is making our evenings a little loud - but it is all part of it, right???? I took this pic in mid July - but I love it... I don't think I've posted it - but if I have... WHO GIVES A CRAP? I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!



Jer and I are doing great... Both working to make a living - but still dreaming of the day we can either work for ourselves or win the friggin' lotto! haha... Aunt Barb wants us to come out and work for her - but its just really really really far! :) haha.... ANNNNNNYYYYWAY.... Jer and I celebrated our 6 year 'dating' anniversary on Sunday.... Seriously... August 24th of 2002 I met the KICKEST-ASS man on the planet!!! There aren't words that could ever express how much love there is - nor the understanding that we have for each other... Basically... shit happens - and we scoop it up and fertilize our world with it to make a better life for our family... We realize how absolutely important it is to communicate... and I have been blessed with a man who likes to communicate more than I do!!!! hahaha.... My legs hurt like nut-ness... LIKE SERIOUSLY... I took 'off' of running when it hit 100+ and the ozone alert was orange... But I've decided screw a bunch of that crap... I'm only hurting myself by NOT running and doing SOMETHING... I'm fine as far as weight goes - but in reality my BMI is SUCKY SUCKERTON... I need to lose 15 lbs (regardless of my 'fire hydrant muscle build') - I need and want to lose 15... (regardless of the BMI scale)...

SOOOO... That brings me to a decision situation... Last year I went to a boot camp 'class' of sorts that literally rocked my world... Physically... Mentally... and Emotionally... Totally sounds weird as I type that - but it really did... Holton was less that 6 weeks old when I started... I was SOOOOOOOOOOO out of shape after the pregnancy and REALLY wanted to get the baby weight off... Mind you - baby weight never really comes off - because your body is just NEVER EVER EVER EVER the same... Right now - I weigh less than I did when Haden AND Holton were conceived... AND only 3 lbs. more than my wedding day.... BUT... SHIT IS JUST NOT in the same place that it has been in YEARS body-wise...

The real deal is - that this class costs 200 bucks a month... WHICH IS EFFIN' INSANE! I did, however, get a 'coupon' for buy one - get one... So I can go for two months for 300 bucks... I personally - do not live in a world or income stream where 300 bucks is not alot to spend on frivolous crap... 300 bucks is easily food for my family for a month. Not only would 300 bucks be a shit-ball to spend... It also means 8 hours of precious time away from my babies... (As a working mom - I get MAYBE 20 hours of 'after work' time with my kids... Typically those hours are abolutely insanity crazy screaming-ness... But still - those hours are HOURS of time that I don't get back if I don't have them with them....

UUUUGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!! So what am I going to do???? I WANT AND NEED this... I WANT to go... I am in the mind set to do something for myself - screw the money... Can't and won't 'screw' the time... Jer has promised to bring the kids up atleast twice a week when I go... But damnit! Why do I feel so bad? FREAKING MOMMY-NESS el-sucko's sometimes!!! haha...

Ok - I'll stop... haha... But still... I'm dramatizing something that is SO simple... JUST FREAKING GO! JUST FREAKING DO IT!! DO SOMETHING!!!!!

Takin' the TRE (train) to Dallas...

So - we finally loaded everyone up and decided to make an afternoon of taking the TRE from Downtown Fort Worth to Dallas... SUPER CHEAP... All 5 of us and my dad for 16 bucks... It got a little shady at a few stops (we only got asked for money once... haha) - but overall the kids really enjoyed the ride... Haden talks about it ALLLL the time...

Once we got to our destination – it was just HOT HOT HOT! We walked the Grassy Knoll – and walked down to the West End… I had no idea that the West End was completely GONE! I had planned on farting around in the marketplace with the kids – but its gone… So is Dallas Alley! Anyway – I’m not sure what this was called – something to do with a memorial to JFK I believe… But the kids LOVED playing in the water!

C.R.A.Z.Y. Freaking HOT!!! OMG!

Who in the hell can work outside in this death 'melt my skin' heat? Sheesh... This weekend we attempted to clean out our garage and attic getting ready for a garage sale in a few weeks. We lasted a whole huge HOUR out there before we said screw it and came back in. It is MISERABLE!!!! ugh!

Friday it did finally cool off enough in the evening (um... 100 at 8pm) to take the boys out to play a bit. Hannah comes home tomorrow! She's been at her Aunt's for A WEEK!! Anyway- video of the boys and the 4-Wheeler:



I was a little nervous - but turns out daddy has been doing this with them all week before I get home!!!

No Kids.... WHAT!!!????

For the first time in a year - Jer and I have no kids in our house... The silence is almost overwhelming!!! WOW!!! We dropped them off in Venus yesterday.. yes - I'm serious... Venus... and proceeded to go see the new Batman movie - which is the first movie we've seen together alone in 6 *count them* years!!!!

Anyway - it was a kick-to-the-buttness movie.... A little dark for my taste - but still overall a good movie...

We got home close to 10:30 and Jer was OUT! I couldn't sleep - thanks to the Diet Coke we had with the SUPER huge popcorn we had.... haha... damn caffeine!!

So tonight I got home - Jer had the house straight - and it has been 5 hours.... And there are still NO TOYS scattered ANYWHERE!!! It's crazy... This life that we've made!!!

We get the boys back tomorrow.... and Hannah back on Friday.... I'm missing them.... TOOOOOOOO much...

Another day in the life of H & J... or J & H... whatever!

So - momma gets back to work today... Holton was running a bit of a fever last night and 'reahh'd' out of his diaper all over everything... I am attributing that to teething - because he had the crap last week that got us all friggin' gooey... I can only pray that the 'CRAP' is leaving our house!!! Jer has been ill - beyond ill - all day... :( I've been 'gooey' all week - today was decent but still not normal!!! ANYWAY - enough of TMI!!! All I can say is I am READY TO BE OVER THIS SHIT!!! You can only take so many 'for the team'!!! Regardless of mommy-ness!!! hahahaha

A day in the life of Heather and Jeremy...

Seriously... Things have been a little overwhelming lately! Work for both of us has been a little stressful these days... Overall - mine is fine - just in a slump and need to figure that out... Jer's... man.... He'll have to tell ya about that because I don't think I can even explain the ridiculousness he's dealing with... These kiddos are driving us both insane... If it isn't one thing - its another... And with the boys - its their brother... (haha... I rhymed)

Anyway - I got home last night about 6:15 - traffic was hell and it was hot... I changed clothes and at about 6:30 Haden says that he wants medicine because he doesn't feel good... I think he's goofing since his friend was sick yesterday - but low and behold 5 seconds after I laid him on the couch - he projectile vomits ALL over the couch - and again all over the floor - and again all over himself... This goes on for HOURS... seriously... I'd say it finally just got to dry heaving around 3AM...

This is him last night - wet cloth, blanket underneath and his bucket... :( He ruined the bean bag - it is unwashable and he covered it in puke. :( maybe I can save the innards to fluff another one...??



SO of course - I stayed home with him today and did what work I could from here - and he's just miserable and cranky!!! Hannah flipped out last night and asked if she could go down to daddys house so she'd be less likely to get the funk. Jer and I both feel oogey in the tummy - but that could just be the cleaning up of all the vomit. I still haven't gotten the smell out of the boys room from Holton's attack!! WTF???

Like I said last week - we are beyond blessed with a beautiful family, home, good jobs and more than alot of people in this world have... But all of those things are kicking our asses lately! :o)

Wishing everyone well... OH - Wait... Does ANYONE know how to get puke smell out of the carpet or couch? ugh... I've steam cleaned atleast 5 times (and I own a super-daddy steam cleaner) and I can still smell yucko-puke smell... My sis mentioned baking soda... I doused everything with Antibacterial spray today... Still stinks!

Haden's 3rd Birthday!

I cannot believe that tomorrow my baby blue eyes is going to be 3! We're taking him to dinner wherever he wants to go tomorrow night and next weekend we're taking him and his best friend Greyson to Mountasia for a day of super fun... (He LOVES the bounce house room there)... I had planned on taking him to Trinity Park today to ride the little mini-train but it is just WAY too hot! Maybe we'll take the T to Dallas or something... haha...

I need serious lessons in harmonizing - because I'm use to singing lead... Not sure if my ears work right in regards to that... Regardless - It was fun! But... me and Crown Royal are NO LONGER FRIENDS... Like - seriously ugh! Whew... I think I aged myself 30 years in one night...

You know... It sometimes takes seeing someone else in your life *beautiful Aunt Titi* finding their place in life to remember the beginnings of your own... I am an absolutely blessed individual that is lucky enough to have found "IT" with a wonderful man.... I've given birth to 3 *count them... holy holy holy* BEAUTIFUL healthy and smart children - and have all this other crap in general going on to boot... WOW...

It's ok to amaze yourself every once in awhile... RIGHT????

These "kids" - (our younger siblings) have SO much going for them... and so much life to live... It's just really... really... REALLY nice to be a part of it...

DRAINED!!!

This week has just whipped my bohonkus! (sp? if it that was ever a word other than in my personal dictionary) - anyway - long week at work coming off of a week of with the kids... I enjoyed my time with them - but they wore me out too. I had SO many plans to 'go and do' while I was off - but learned that I was far too unorganized to get out of the house other than to go to the store...

We did manage to go to the Keller Pointe once to swim at the water park. Um... Lets just say and chasing a 3 year old (that keeps trying to drown himself) while holding a 1 year old (who ONLY wants to act like a submarine and submerge his face ALL the way under the water) was NOT fun for mom! Hannah helped SO much - but she deserved to have some fun too. She asked me a few times for ME to go down the big slide... it took me looking at her like she was crazy and asking her if she wanted to keep the boys from drowning while I went for her to understand that water parks aren't fun for parents. haha... :) Regardless - they had fun.

Holton really was trying to be a submarine. Lower and lower he'd go until he's start floating... haha... (i'm kidding- but if I'd let him he would)... He's fearless... Haden on the other hand is scared of his own shadow and freaked out because there was a bug on the stairs to get to the kiddie water slides... Someone finally kicked it off and we managed to get him down the slide a few times.

Whew.... Long weekend! Long week!

Why is it that the week before your vacation - the week just DRAGS and DRAGS and DRAGS??? Thank God it is atleast Thursday tomorrow! I get to spend an entire week home with my babies!!! I'm so excited! We are going to work with Haden and potty training, hopefully go swimming at the Keller Pointe - and depending on how hot it gets/is - maybe venture to the park a time or two.

Enough of next week - I wanted to share some of our fun from last weekend... We took Haden and Holton to the Grapevine Botanical Park - it has a really neat new spiderweb thing that Haden got a kick out of... Holton just chilled and ate his Chick-fil-a...
